Description

Flowpoint Rapid Set External Paving Grout

Flowpoint Rapid Set External Slurry Paving Grout is a fast setting, cement based flowable grout which is applied as a wet slurry to grout the joints in between patio flags & paving slabs, when set it prevents weeds from growing between slabs.

Flowpoint is simple to use, and has a set time of as little as 15 minutes (at temperatures of 20oC), the hardened flowpoint paving grout is ready to be cleaned after just 30 minutes and can be walked on after just an hour, and vehicles after four hours. When applied correctly, this paving grout can last beyond 20 years without needing to re-grout.

This rapid set paving grout is ideal for both domestic & commercial paving projects, Flowpoint can be used with all types of manufactured and natural stone – including slate, sandstone, porcelain, limestone, Indian stone, plus concrete, clay pavers and granite setts.

Once mixed with water, one 25kg bag of Flowpoint will cover approximately 7–10 square metres of paving. This coverage does vary depending on the size of the paving and the width and depth of your joints. Call us for for a quote on ☎️ 0330 122 1025

How do I use Flowpoint?

Follow these ten steps to use Flowpoint paving grout to fill paving joints:

  1. Clean the slab or flag surfaces & joints so that they are free from debris and any ponded water
  2. Pre-soak the paving joints and surfaces of the slabs with water, ensure they are damp but not drenched – a light spray of water should be enough
  3. Pour one bag of Flowpoint into a bucket and add 4.25 litres of water
  4. Mix for 3–5 minutes until the consistency is smooth, free of lumps and like cake batter
  5. Apply the mixture immediately by carefully pushing the Flowpoint grout mix into the joints using a rubber squeegee. Flowpoint can set within as little as 15 minutes (at temperatures of 20oC) so you will need to ensure that you are careful about watching the clock
  6. Move the Flowpoint slurry grout constantly across the patio surface to top-up joints where the mortar has sunk
  7. Use the rubber squeegee to remove as much of the paving grout from the surface of the flags – keep the surfaces constantly damp to prevent the grout from sticking to the slab faces
  8. Use a brush and lots of water, or alternatively a pressure washer to remove any grout that has gone off (hardened) on the paving surfaces
  9. Once the mortar is dry (after approximately 30 minutes), clean the surface of paving slabs thoroughly to remove any spots of mortar and prevent staining
  10. The flags should be ready to walk on after just one hour and can receive car traffic after four hours
